Supplies for Families in Need

Aloha Trinity Ohana,

As you may know each, year during Christmastime, our church visits Weinberg Village in Waimanalo. Mary Ann Capen has done an incredible work organizing Christmas food baskets for each family and staff member to ensure that they have a delicious Christmas meal. 

As COVID 19 has changed much of our daily lives, we have been looking for ways to tangibly reach out and serve our community during this pandemic. One very practical way we thought would be important to reach out to the Weinberg Village community and see what their needs were.

Weinberg Village is in a time of transition with new mangement taking over in the fall. Until the transition is complete, current families are being asked to move and find other living arrangements with no guarantee to return to the housing community.

As these families are in a time of transition in so many ways, and as many in the country are facing incredible challenging financial times, we would love to help the residents of Weinberg Village if even in a small way.

Currently, 16 families and 4 staff reside on the property. We would love to provide each family and staff member with a Target gift card to allow them to buy groceries or any supplies they might need.

Our goal is to provide each family with at least a $100.00 gift card. Please feel free to give what you can.

As the residents are required to move in the next three weeks, we would like to do this as quickly as possible. Our goal is to have the gift cards delivered by Tuesday, May 12.
